CA Park Hours to change with Cars Land - Tagrel.com

A few CMs at California Adventure told us when Cars Land opens, they will change the park hours the to the same as DL. Right now they don't open until 10:00 and close earlier. They told us they would be the same hours. Not sure if Disney has officially announced that or if it is just a rumor.

They still aren't giving a date for opening though. The construction signs don't specifically says Cars Land opening in Summer 2012, but something like new changes coming 2012. I think they are playing it cautious because they know the entrance part will be finished, but aren't sure about Cars Land.

Definitely a lot of work still going on over there. We did see them testing the Tow Mater ride, which is really close to the construction walls. We went up on the hill where the Blue Sky Cellar is and you can peek over. Sometime in the last two weeks they closed the Cars greeting area which was built into an indent in the construction wall, so they are obviously finishing up stuff right up to the walls. Still lots going on on the other side though.

It sounds like they believe they will have enough attractions to keep people busy for a longer day. Or they expect longer lines.

During my visit to Disneyland for the 50th, there seemed to be an exodus when DCA closed, to get into Disneyland to see the fireworks. Hopefully the longer hours and night time show reduce that stampede across the plaza.

Yup, when CA closes people head over to DL. That causes a real congested area in the front of the park because you have the people coming in from CA and at the same time people ending their day at DL.

I'm not sure how long those extra hours will last because as exciting as the prospect of Cars Land sounds, I don't think much is going in there that will create that much of a sustained crowd.
