I slept in as long as I could and then got up to get ready. Today I embarrass myself at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge lobby. I’m meeting Photographer there for my calendar photo shoot. Once again the rental car came in mighty handy. I zipped up the back way and self parked so I could access the car easily to carry my ‘props’ to and from the resort before heading to the MK. I was just a bit early, so I hit the WL Mercantile and bought a few things to take home. I always seem to find things I like in this store. Then I headed on to the VWL lobby. As I entered and circled around looking for Lisa I saw the same guy looking at me like he knew me… I took a better look and realized it was a friend from High School and college! I hadn’t seen him in 20 years or so! We chatted for a while (that GOD it was before the photo shoot!) and then Lisa showed up and he went his way. Now come to think of it I really SHOULD have said I was there for a photo shoot to be in a calendar, but I just couldn’t do it! ;-)

So, I went off to put my flannel pajamas on while Lisa scoped out the lobby for good locations. She had brought milk and cookies and I had brought a glass from my room. Amymouse made the EXTREME sacrifice of providing Milano cookies (who I later found out were provided by MikeS – thanks Mike!)

Soon enough Lisa was snapping away and I was trying very hard to ignore all the people walking by and wondering what in the HECK we were doing! :) No more college friends thank goodness! After taking the inside shots, Lisa heads outside to scout locations. It didn’t take me long to realize I was dressed in Jammies, wearing a Santa hat, surrounded by presents, milk and cookies and ALONE with no one to point at and ‘blame’!!!  :-O

So, I hid in the small cubby near the fireplace until Lisa got back! LOL Nothing like shattering my shyness boundaries this trip! I just don’t DO these things! I’m THINKING MouseFest is good for my introverted nature, but yikes! So, then she drags me outside for more shots. To make it MORE fun, RhinoDad shows up for his shoot in plenty of time to harass me! ;-) All in all it was fun, I just hope I don’t get sent any therapy bills by the guests that saw me! Oh, and the Milano’s were excellent! :-)

I had to quickly change, dump the props back in the car and then catch the boat to the MK. I had a 10:15 breakfast I got there just in time for. Good thing the Wild Women were late and dragging this morning or I might have been late myself! ;-)

We had late breakfast reservations at the Crystal Palace and soon were inside and seated at several tables all grouped together. It was a great meal, and we got some good pictures with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. My favorites were the group shots and Pooh and Tigger even joined us (separately, but still fun!) The food was excellent, and then we headed out to say goodbyes to those leaving, (Bye Sheryl!) and several of us headed for Space Mountain.

On the way to SM we saw DebWills and Linda. We got a quick picture and then continued on to SM. Standby was listed as 30 minutes, but we were at the front of the line in around 15 minutes. And I’m sure if I HADN’T commented on how it had only taken 15 minutes that the ride would NOT have broken down! It was cool seeing all the lights come up though, and we DID learn a valuable lesson.

There was NO problem with the ride itself! This happens when a guest does not immediately unload at the exit and tries to take a picture. The internal timers sense a problem with car flow and shut down the system causing a complete system reset, a walking of the track and a manual release of the brakes! Takes at least 10 minutes or more. SOOOOOOOOOOOO, don’t take pictures in the car at the end, and get your butt OUT when the CM’s tell you too! ;-) Of course, we kidded about this at the end of our ride. Hope the CM’s appreciated our humor!

That pretty much ate up all our extra time until the Capture the Magic meet. This one would be another test of my introverted nature! Luckily I was teamed up with FLSharon, GroupHugJohn and Frogman. Four man teams were sent out with a booklet of things to be done around the parks. Fun things. Crazy things. EMBARRASSING THINGS! :)

Hidden Mickey in Frontierland! We took off and proceeded to run around the entire park snapping photos, and doing crazy things. Like standing outside a bathroom, looking VERY close to an accident and getting a stranger to take our picture! Better yet, we had to get strangers to JOIN us in the pictures – like when we looked sick and dizzy getting off the teacups.

Great view from Treehouse! We had to jump on and then back off attractions before they started for pictures. Had to get pictures with characters and convince strangers to take the pic EVEN in bad light, or when the character was slightly blocked! Oh, and wears crazy hats, crowns and wave our magic wands for picture after picture! I think my favorite was gathering 7 people to spell out Mickey and one to take the picture. We had to do it TWICE because the first photog volunteer chopped off the ‘Y’ in Mickey! (who happened to be me!)

LOL – it was a BLAST! The guests and CM’s picked up on the fun and enthusiasm and helped us every time we asked. It was a great time and we really enjoyed ourselves. We didn’t win, but I still think it must have been an addition problem… ;-) We did almost EVERYTHING, and with full points. I want to see these pictures from other groups! LOL.

Best will be Brian’s trip report using all the pictures taken during the game… I can ONLY imagine where he will be going with this! :-O

After that, decided to head back for a nap. I made a not so quick pit stop in the VMK store to try to score some High School Musical cards for Brinn and Maddy. There was an online quest you could complete for a couple special items. Well, they HAD the sheets, but expected me to actually DO the quests! LOL! I called the girls and Brinn was able to answer all the movie questions, so I went with that. The CM was kind enough to let me have two cards (one for each girl) – he was able to use my AP and my resort ID to give me two cards. I was VERY thankful and Brinn and Maddy were thrilled!

Then, it was off to the WL boat, my car and back to the POFQ for some shuteye. I was getting wiped out and still had to hit Epcot tonight! I have some shopping to do, and I was invited to an Illuminations party to boot! Can’t wait.

I crashed for about 1.5 hours, and then headed to Epcot. I took the bus, and was hoping someone would offer a ride back. But if not, the bus would be fine. I just didn’t want to drive.

I headed into the park, and had a couple hours before the meet, so I started taking some pictures, and then did some shopping. I also made a BIG mistake in Mexico. My last meal was at Crystal Palace at around 10:30. It was now 7pm, and my next ‘meal’ was a nice big Margarita! By Germany I realized the error of my ways, and grabbed a nice, big, bread-y pretzel in America! :) That helped a lot, and I was fine by the time I worked my way around to the International Gateway where we were meeting for the Dessert party.

I’d really like to thank Annette and Figmentt for inviting me to this event. It was a great time and there were lots of Taginators there. I also tried to mingle around again and had some time to talk to Shontell as well. (Shontell owns and operates DVCbyResale.com – our site DVC Resale sponsor.) It was great chatting and catching up with everyone, and the desserts were VERY good. The best cookies ever, and then the view of Illuminations could NOT be beat. It was an amazing time, and we enjoyed it immensely. A bit more chatting after the fireworks ended and it was time to call it a night.

Treat for the great Mousekeeper!!MissB, Frogman, cshore and AliKay had all won their way to this event as did others, and were sporting great, flashing Mickey Dream Ears provided by DebWills and AllEarsNet.com. I got a chance to say goodbye to Deb and Linda, and many others and this pretty much brought MouseFest to a close for me!

As hoped, MissB had her car there, and gave me a ride back. A group was meeting at the POFQ lounge for a final nightcap, and I headed over there before sleeping. I remembered to eat something this time, and enjoyed more Tag Time before saying more goodbyes and heading off to bed. Another awesome MouseFest day was done, and I was more than ready for a good nights sleep. No plans beyond packing, shopping and flying home tomorrow, so I get to actually SLEEP IN with NO need to be anywhere in the AM!
